Our Big Little Family

Three of our four children had babies over this last year. Amongst all the tough stuff thrown at us, we were blessed with these three, which makes everything okay.

I’m already excited for Christmas. Our three little One Year Old blessings.

The fam came over on Saturday for one of our lazy play days at the house. Tess and Manuel were in town from Dallas, so we had a houseful and that made my heart happy.

I didn’t take a single picture of food, but I did keep the food simple. Shredded Mexican Crockpot Chicken (2 lbs Chicken Breast, 16 oz Salsa and 2 packages of Taco Seasoning in the crockpot on high for four hours, then shred and put back in the crockpot. That’s the recipe.) and Turkey Taco meat, lots of tortillas and taco toppings, chips, salsa, guac and nothing more. I mean I really did keep it simple. I’ve gotten so much better at spending less time in the kitchen and more time with the kids.

We chatted, we played games, the babies played on the stairs (because they always do and well….why not?), and we spent hours watching the babies grow before our very eyes.

(Thanks for all of your great photos Jake!)

Someone had the great idea to go to the neighborhood park. I loved that idea and suggested we all climb in the new truck. So…..we did!

We put the men in charge of the little ones in the truck bed. I promise we didn’t go over 5 mph. 🙂

Seventeen of us showed up at the neighborhood playground.

The park was a great idea for the young and the old.
