WW Personal Points Program

WW Peeps, it’s here! The New WW Personal Points Program! If you’re a WW member, then you’ve likely had a couple of days already playing with the app, maybe been to a Studio or Virtual Workshop and you’re figuring out what is new and different and exciting!

If you’re not a member but your curious, stick around and I’ll share a quick recap of the new plan!

I shared the new plan at my Workshop last night and I truly am excited for this plan! I was so excited, I left early to get to work to make sure I was completely prepared. We had more members than usual which was fun because you could feel the elevated energy in the room. I ended up leaving my notes at home that I had worked so hard on most of the day. I forgot my rings and name tag, so basically I was naked, and after the workshop, I realized my ankle boots were unzipped. I was an excited mess but everything went great and it felt like members were curious and excited.

I do feel that it is the most personal and individual plan I’ve ever seen at WW. WW has a huge team that is constantly studying the latest science and coming up with the healthiest way to lose weight and maintain weight loss in the best way possible. WW provides the tools to make healthy habits and behavior changes a lifestyle that will keep you feeling your best for the long term.

This new plan does three things.

  1. Gives each member a very personal plan with a customized zero point food list based on what that member loves to eat. It’s your very own plan.
  2. Gives food and beverage a points value based on a new algorithm that includes calories as a base point. Protein, fiber and unsaturated fats will drive the points down while saturated fats and added sugar will drive the points up.
  3. Members can earn points for healthy behaviors such as eating non-starchy veggies, drinking water and staying active.

Digging a little deeper into these three things……

After downloading the app, members will be asked a series of questions that will determine what their zero point food list will be. Want to switch things up after trying it out for a week or two? You can!

The new algorithm guides members to a healthy pattern of eating with a good balance of those nutrient dense foods that are lower in points while also enjoying some of those foods that we love that are higher in points. No foods are off limits!

Eat a cup of raw or cooked non-starchy veggies, earn a daily point. This is unlimited.

Drink 60 oz of water, earn a daily point. This is limited to 1 point per day.

Do activity, earn points that will add to your weeklies. This is unlimited.

So many great things guiding us all to continue living our best life!!

Members will still have daily, weekly and rollover points.

Blue Dots! They are still here! All members healthy eating zone is now -8 or +10 of your Daily points. (The number at the beginning of the day before earning any points)

If you need support before your next workshop you can attend a Kickstart or an App Academy Virtually. The schedule is in your app under Studio Finder!

Make sure your app is updated! Any issues? Uninstall and reinstalling the app should help!

That’s my quick recap!

Any questions? Please feel free to ask in the comments and I’ll reply!

My gift to myself yesterday…

It’s a simple one but a good one. I like a pretty glass for drinking anything from water to adult beverages. I found a 4-pack of glasses for $5.99 at Home Goods and decided they were perfect for everything! My glass pictures may replace my tree pictures as the leaves fall. Didn’t think I’d miss a tree pic, did ya?

Food

I’ve been making this Pork Sausage recipe now for a few years because it is delicious!! I do leave out the fennel seeds and the red pepper flakes (personal preference). I leave out the ghee for cooking the patties in and it doesn’t seem necessary. I cook it in the skillet like you would cook ground beef instead of cooking patties. This allows me to add a couple of Tablespoons of cooked sausage and have a little taste in every bite!

I’m loving my Roasted Delicate Squash during this squash season.

After work I diced up much of the food I prepared earlier in the week and added it to the remainder of my Trader Joe’s Holiday Hash for a quick and tasty dinner!

Activity

Yesterday was an awesome upper body workout and based on my the way my arms felt when I woke up this morning, I did everything right. Yowza! It’s that good hurt, ya know?

Breakfast

Delicata squash, sausage with an egg. A few berries topped with almond butter.

Snack

A quick snack while getting ready for work and an un-pictured pear.

Dinner

Topped that yummy skillet with eggs!

Happy Veterans Day!

Saving the best for last. To all Veterans and their families, thank you for your courage and bravery and selflessness as you choose to protect us! I appreciate YOU!

  1. I’m super anxious to hear what you think about the new WW personal points! I should write another post about that squash. It’s really one of my favorites. I always find it first in the season at Trader Joe’s and then really only at a few other stores. Whole Foods? Farmers market? You totally have to buy some if you find it!

  2. It’s Saturday and I’m actually heading out shortly for my WW meeting this morning, so thank you for the quick recap before getting the in-depth introduction in class. I like the idea of a plan that’s custom-fit to our own personal taste. Ready to learn more! And just so you know, those blueberries look like they could drip onto my laptop, they’re so juicy and up close & personal! YUM. Tell us about delicata squash. Never heard of it before reading your posts! Have a great weekend!
