A Fun December Weekend

We had such a fun impromptu December weekend with friends. I have felt a tad disconnected to some of our friends after Covid. It’s been hard to reconnect with everyone. At a spur of the moment Happy Hour on Friday, a spur of the moment Saturday night was suggested and we had so much fun!

Then on Sunday at 11:00 I reached out to friends to see if they wanted to come over and watch the game at noon since they usually have us over to watch games.

We could not have pre-planned a better weekend!

I loved that our Saturday night out had no agenda. We were winging it. We met at a friends first and got caught up before heading out. First stop out, the Boulevard Brewery downtown. We had Jake and Jordans rehearsal dinner there years ago and it has changed so much. It was more of a tasting room and event space back then and now it’s a brewery, bar, event space and all around great place to take friends! We enjoyed a few beers and shared sliders.

They had a Vintage Trailer photo booth there and I wish a had taken a picture of the whole thing, but we had fun taking pics and playing in it.

We headed to Union Station just a few blocks away for a fancy cocktail, then headed to a neighborhood bar to end our night. So many laughs Saturday night. I’d live this whole night all over again.

Sunday we slept in and enjoyed a relaxing morning, then I decided we needed a mini Chiefs party. I went to the store for a few groceries while Mike prepped the deck for game time.

It was so cozy out there!

Fun little Mocktail for the game to have with some sammies and veggies. And another WIN!!

Self Care

After a core workout and a 3.5 mile walk Saturday afternoon, I enjoyed a long bath and found this great articled on The Power of Walking, whether a 10 minute walk or a 60 minute walk, there are SO MANY health benefits. Get out there and take a walk!

Out the door soon for my walk. Record breaking temps predicted this week!
