I hope you’ve all had a great weekend! We had a very full and happy one. This was one of the first weekends in a long time that we had so many things planned and that I was determined to enjoy myself while still following my WW plan by tracking and getting in my daily walks. I feel really good about successfully staying on plan while also having a great long weekend. We talked wedding plans with Tess and Manuel over the weekend and made some big decisions. We went to Sawyer’s first Birthday party on Saturday. We had Mother’s Day here at our house with a nice big family get together. Monday morning I had a meeting with my WW boss about my next steps as a WW Leader (Yay!!), then Tess went with me to my two month post op appointment with my plastic surgeon, and later in […]

A Quick Hello today
Just stopping in to say “Hi”. I’m posting daily over this long weekend to keep myself accountable, so these next several post will be boring, unless I happen to eat something spectacular!! It has been an awesome first week back on plan and tracking and walking. Tess and I are headed out the door soon to my WW meeting. It will be nice to have her with me this morning. Tess and Manuel are here until Monday and we have all sorts of fun family plans and their wedding to plan! Lots going on! Happy Friday! I got my 10,000 steps in yesterday and Tess and Tucker joined me on my walk. Yesterday’s eats… Breakfast – 8 SP First Watch Poached Eggs, Fruit, Potatoes and Avocado I even left some on my plate! Lunch – 0 SP Rotisserie Chicken Breast and Berries on my lap in the […]
Make a Plan and Do Your Best
So this happened yon Wednesday and the first 8,000 steps apparently gave me an adrenaline rush for the next 12 hours! I was on the go all day long and I loved it! It was a windows down, music cranked up kinda day. The last part of my day was the best part of my day, although I was pooped. Mike and I picked up Tess and Manuel and even Tucker at the airport at 11:00 last night. I crashed hard! We have a full weekend planned, but I plan to stick to a daily blog of at least my food and activity. Gotta stay accountable through an extra long weekend of extra people at the house, a birthday party on Saturday and a Mother’s Day get together on Sunday. My plan of action is to attend my WW meeting Friday morning and be a tracking Queen over the next the next […]
A Colorful Monday
Such a productive day! Blogging. Done. Walking. Done. Dinner prep. Done. Laundry. Done. Work an evening WW meeting. Done. Bed by 9:30. Done. I totally forgot to check my steps last night before going to bed, but after looking at it this morning, I only missed my goal of 10,000 by a few. I’ll take it. Here are yesterday’s eats. It was a colorful Food Day! Breakfast – 10 SP My leftovers from the night before topped with Eggs and Avocado along with a few grapes. Lunch – 3 SP Tuna Salad, Baby Carrots and Cucumber slices. Dinner – 6 SP Trina’s Lasagna Recipe I’ve had some issues with bloating after this last surgery. In an effort to find the culprit, I’ve decided to eliminate a few things from my diet to see if I can figure out what is making that happen. One of the things that […]
Diced, Chopped and Thinly Sliced
It was an extremely relaxing Sunday. I woke up feeling rested but I still planned to take it easy. We ate a yummy late breakfast. My mom came out later for coffee. I meal planned for the week, then I grocery shopped. I was in bed by 9:00 last night. I’m ready for a full week. Are you? Yesterday’s eats. I love a chopped salad. Reason being, you get a taste of everything in every bite. I do that with a lot of my meals. Chop and dice into small pieces, slice things up thin. Topping your Oatmeal with a Banana? Slice it really thin and get a taste of Banana in every bite! Avocado? You can get a taste of Avocado in every bite of your meal if you slice it really thin! Chop up your Beef Taco Meat as small as you can, you can add less to […]
Work, Steps and Parties
What a full and fun Saturday! I was in bed and asleep before 9:30! I had the opportunity to lead two WW meetings yesterday morning and they both went great. The members run the meeting really. These two particular meetings have awesome members that share, support and encourage each other. It was a great morning! I got in a good walk and for the first time this week, I got over 10,000 steps. Yay! Mike and I went to a graduation party, then took a drive in the convertible and went out for dinner. It was the perfect day for a top down drive. (the car, not me, silly.) After dinner, off to a Cinco De Mayo party. I skipped the food at the party (and the host is my friend Linda, who is Mexican, and she cooked up a beautiful spread of Mexican food!) and I sipped on […]
Life is Good
It was a full and happy day yesterday and now I’m off to lead a couple of WW Meetings. Happy Saturday to you all. Check out my new front license plate. It’s perfect! Here are yesterday’s eats! I was so busy I almost forgot to eat!! Brunch – 7 SP First Watch breakfast with friends. Two Poached Eggs, First Watch Potatoes (4), Avocado (3) and a small bowl of fruit. Happy Hour Mocktail – 0 SP Have you tried Spindrift? I think it’s a better version of LaCroix. (Sorry LaCroix) Add a few ice cubes and a pretty piece of fruit. Put your feet up, or leave em down, your choice, and enjoy your zero point beverage! Thanks for the mocktail idea Becky! Dinner – 10 SP Egg Roll in a Bowl This was REALLY good! Hopefully I get to the leftovers before Mike finds them. I […]
What Routine?
I seem to be having a hard time establishing any kind of a routine at all. It seems harder to get anything done when I’m not working than when I am working. Part of me thinks, “Well, I can focus on that tomorrow”. Part of me thinks, “I am supposed to be resting”. Another part of me is just having a hard time focusing on anything at all. This is what the fridge looks like most days. When I do cook, I shop for just the food I need for the next two days or so because really, nothing sounds good. I have no real appetite. Nothing taste amazing. I’m doing stretches and taking short walks, but I’m not participating in step bets or doing any walking challenges, and frankly, each time I start to blog, I’m not sure what to say. I am feeling super disconnected from the blog, but […]
My Girl
I unexpectedly went to Dallas to visit Tess this past week. There was an urgent significance for my trip to Dallas. I called my doc to see if I could go, and I was told that as long as I didn’t carry over 10 pounds and wore compression socks, I could go. I ordered the best compression socks that I could find (I love you Amazon Prime!), put a change of underwear and socks in my purse and went to Dallas. I left Tuesday morning and arrived in time for Tess to pick me up from the airport, then head off to work for the day while I snuggled with Tucker. Tess took Wednesday off and we spent the day together doing what we do best, dining on patios and hitting up the biggest Target we could find. I came home late Wednesday night. Tess and I had decided that […]
Trailer Dreams
We had a beautiful light snow all day yesterday that went from tiny flakes to huge flakes then back to tiny flakes. They seemed to melt as soon as they hit the green grass. Pretty and weird all at the same time. I spent the majority of the day curled up in my chair by the fire sipping on coffee or hot tea, shopping for my dream vintage trailer. My butt was numb at the end of the day from sitting, so I went to bed and counted trailers. I love following vintagecampertrailers on Instagram! These are just a few of my favorites and I’m hoping to find one similar. I love how tiny and cute they are. I may even buy a cute dress to match my trailer for the fancy camping days. Red dress, red trailer? You know, after a day on the […]
