Great Weekend and a Belated Father’s Day

Such a great weekend!

A trip to the Farmer’s Market and lots of time spent outside over the weekend.

Just look at the size of these……tomatoes that I found at the market!

I was going for BLT’s, but instead made this BLT Pizza on a Cauliflower Crust from Trader Joe’s. Uh….yum. I drizzled this with Mayo and added Avocado.

Saturday was a simple dinner of Fish, Salad and Sliced tomatoes. I’m not a huge tomato fan, but there is something about these fresh homegrown ones that I love!

Mike and I went out for breakfast Sunday and I ordered off the kids menu. I wasn’t super hungry but wanted something. I ate half the potatoes, half the pancakes (scooped that butter off and added a little syrup) and gave Mike my bacon.

Have you ever ordered off of the kids menu? Less expensive AND smaller servings!

We were having our kids and grandkids over on Sunday for a belated Fathers Day. Mike thought it would be fun to plan the day outside with the kids playing in the sprinkler.

While the kids were driving to our house, it was pouring outside. After the rain, the kids all insisted on following through with Papa’s plan.

It was a great day!

The babies played with bowls of ice water. lol

Not interested in the Ice Water……

🙂

We had a little indoor fun too.

Shortly after this, Papa Mike dumped a bowl of ice water on her head!! Some days, Papa is an 8 year old.

The oldest. They are growing up so fast!

The kids all made these for Papa Mike and I am going to frame them. I loved this idea and so did he.

I know we were celebrating Father’s Day, but seriously…..this one made me smile and tear up all at the same time.

Our son Jake gets all the credit for the great photos of the kids!

I didn’t take any pictures except this bowl of Taco Soup, which I made for our lunch. I also had fruit, veggies, Caine’s Chicken Fingers and a few sweet treats for dessert.

The soup was a great option knowing most would like it and now with so many Zero SmartPoint options on Freestyle, this Taco Soup is Zero SmartPoints!

Add Smartpoints for any toppings. I topped mine with Bluecorn Chips and Avocado.

I hope you have a great day!

  4. That looks like a fun day you all had. I have a friend whose son works at a large produce stand. I am getting my first delivery of potatoes, tomatoes, onions, yellow squash, zucchini, green beans, & melon tomorrow. I can hardly wait. Nothing like having it delivered to you. I love summer for all of the vegetables.
