Organizing

I’ve been in some sort of crazy cleaning and organizing mood since the house got painted! I had been planning to paint our bedroom, and assumed that when the house got painted, I’d get the painting fever and paint the bedroom, and I did! Well, that made me want the whole room to feel fresh, so I cleaned out our closet. When I say cleaned, I mean I purged a whole bunch of stuff. I’ll probably regret that when the seasons change.

Purging our closet made me want to move from room to room and clean out the closet’s in the two spare bedroom’s, which I have now done. Now, our empty nest is really empty!

It does feel good to have everything so organized, but I’m not sure what this little nesting feeling is all about. I’m not pregnant, we are not adopting, and we are NOT getting another dog.

Maybe I’m just Spring Cleaning in the wrong Season?

I’m thinking the laundry room is next!!

While going through closets, I found a lot of pictures that I hadn’t seen in a long time. This is one of my favorites, so I thought I would participate in a Throw Back Thursday, moment!

Walking….even your dog.

My goal was to walk 20 miles this week, and I only have two miles to go! Yesterday, I took Tucker and Mishka out for a stroll that turned into a 2 mile walk. I knew close to the end, that Mishka was getting tired, but she kept up a great pace, and made it home just fine. Both dogs slept for the rest of the afternoon.

Mishka has lost about 95% of her hearing in the last couple of months. 🙁 

It’s been hard to watch her little personality change as she has begun to show her age over the last year. She can hear us clap, and she feels vibrations, so I hold her and hum sometimes, but she can’t hear us call her name anymore. I’m trying to keep her as active as possible without causing her any pain. I keep telling her that she is only as old as she feels. Someday’s, she acts like she is 3, and other days, her true age shows.

Weight Watcher’s Points Plus

I can earn Activity Points by doing exercise, and eat them if I choose.

I have an allowance of 49 extra points that I can dip into throughout the week if I choose.

I should drink a minimum of 6 (8 oz) glasses of water each day.
